Swapping my Hobby for a Profession....

Alright, here we go! I'm embarking on a journey of "becoming" a photographer. I've been told time and time again that I should "become" a photographer. At heart, its always been in me. I've been known for my creativity and just never really thought that I'd succeed at truly being a "real" photographer. But here I am, giving it a go! Turning a hobby into a profession! Of all professions, that's really the best kind right? Something you like to do anyway? So thats what I'm doing. Follow me on a journey of perfecting my hobby enough so that people will want to pay for my services. I've had lots of customers over the years, charged a little here and there. I have enough photos floating around to have a touch of a portfolio, but nothing official.I'm officially beginning. I'm also touching up my editing skills so I dont know that I'm going to be posting any PRIOR shoots. In fact I have an old blog that i halfheartedly started with some shots on there - but they simply dont showcase what I can do. The composition of the shots... yes. But the editing creates so much of a feel of who I am as a photographer... and that "feel" doesn't come across in my old editing (which was maybe a splash of contrast, and some cropping skills. WOO HOO!) Just re-edit them in a way that reflects your skills now? Unfortunately - I dont have many of those photos in my possession in a form conducive to re-editing :) (My cataloging and archiving skills have improved as well!) So my first few showcases and blogs will be of the shoots I have just recently done, and lots and lots of my little girl I'm guessing :) So sit back, relax, and lets get professional!
